Peter started training at an early age at the time studying combined fighting arts, a martial art that combines aspects of san chi kai Karate and wing chun kung-fu at which discipline he achieved the ranking of black belt. While studying martial arts Peter competed in 10 kickboxing matches before focusing all his energy on his boxing career.

Peter with belt

Peter is a former elite Australian amateur boxing representative who made 14 international appearances with the Australian boxing team, competing against some notable opponents including two-time Olympic gold medallist, Oleg Saitov of Russia. His amateur career was capped off with a gold medal win in the light middleweight division of the 1997 Oceania Games.

Peter got his start in the fitness industry in 1994, whilst still an amateur, he combined his own training with running the boxersize classes at Paddington PCYC, until the centre eventually closed in 2001. During this time Peter turned professional and competed in 10 professional boxing bouts as a light middleweight. Peter eventually decided to hang up his gloves to dedicate 100% of his time, energy and athletic experience to helping people achieve their fitness and weight loss goals and building his personal and group training business.

Peter is a fully accredited gym instructor, personal trainer and children’s trainer. He is also registered as a master trainer with the Australian Fitness Network and recently ran the boxercise training at Matraville Sports High School.
